Kevin Morley, AWWA federal relations manager, will testify on the Association’s behalf on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. ET, before the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee of the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security. The hearing is titled “Securing Operational Technology: A Deep Dive into the Water Sector.” Morley will testify about the importance of a collaborative approach to cybersecurity oversight combining the technical knowledge of utilities with the cybersecurity oversight in the water sector. Other witnesses in the hearing, include: Robert M. Lee, CEO and co-founder of Dragos; Charles Clancy, senior vice president, general manager, MITRE Labs; chief technology officer, MITRE; and Marty Edwards, deputy chief technology officer, Operational Technology and Internet of Things, Tenable. On Jan. 31, Morley testified about a similar topic at a hearing before the Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Materials Subcommittee of the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
