AWWA is offering a complimentary webinar tomorrow - Wednesday, June 10 - from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. MT entitled “Returning to Service: Addressing Water Quality in Buildings with Low or No Use.” While the webinar is free, registration is required to participate. The reduced water usage in buildings, businesses and schools that have been closed for months has potentially created stagnation in building plumbing. Turning on the water for immediate use after it has been stagnant can pose a risk to public health if not properly managed. This webinar will provide an overview of the newly released EPA guidance on this issue, how to leverage data to target buildings with usage decline and what the best ways are to communicate this information to decision-makers reopening communities. Questions can be directed to Dawn Flancher , AWWA’s senior manager of technical & research programs.
