Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received in writing, faxed or emailed to AWWA. All cancellations before early deadline will receive a refund minus a 25% administrative fee. After 9/20/19, cancellations will not be refunded; however, substitute registrants are always welcome. Fax requests for substitutions or cancellations to 303.347.0804 or email Customer Service.

AWWA's Community Engineering Corps Event at Ballpark Village
Monday, October 21st | 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Join AWWA's Water Equation for a night at Fox Sports Midwest Live for food, drinks and the Patriots v Jets Game on a massive screen for sports! Your $35 donation will support safe water infrastructure projects through Community Engineering Corps. Fox Sports Midwest Live is a walkable 4 blocks from the Hyatt or a quick 5 minute Uber ride. $35 donation includes ticket to this private party with food and 2 drinks. You can purchase tickets in advance via the on-line registration form or on-site at the door of the event.

The following workshops on Sunday, October 20 offer additional opportunities for in-depth, hands-on learning. Registration and fee are required, these items are not included in the full conference registration.

PCW01 – Implementing the WRF 4656 Roadmap from Condition Assessment to Master Planning
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Attend this workshop to explore the Water Research Foundation’s (WRF) roadmap for developing a holistic condition assessment for water transmission and distribution systems.  Attendees will learn how to apply the tools and processes developed as part of the WRF project #4656 to their utilities data and internal processes.

PCW02 – Benchmarking to Improve Risk and Resiliency Performance
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This workshop will present some of the key risk and resiliency metrics and data collected in the recent AWWA Benchmarking survey.  The workshop will also highlight case studies and exercises that demonstrate how specific measures can affect utilities preparation and recovery and can help reduce risk and improve resiliency and response.

PCW03 – A Guide to District Metered Areas: Design, Implementation, and Analysis
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

During the workshop, participants will learn how to design, implement, and analyze district metered areas (DMAs) in their system, and how hydraulic models can help.

PCW04 – Getting Today’s Operator Prepared for Tomorrow

During this workshop, participants will learn how to effectively assess the skills and knowledge of field crews and work teams; identify vital workforce development tools, topics, and requirements; evaluate some of the equipment, processes, and programs essential for managing the distribution systems of tomorrow; and determine the best approach to prepare operators for the future.

PCW05 – Evaluate Your Utility’s Existing Emergency Plan or Outline a New One

During this workshop, participants will learn about AWIA’s requirements related to risk assessments and emergency response plans; how to use industry standards, guidance, and best practices – including the newly released M19 Guidance on Emergency Planning for Water and Wastewater Utilities - to meet requirements.

T2 – Anheuser-Busch Brewery: Behind the Scenes Tour

As you walk through the halls of the historic St. Louis brewery, you are transported in time. You will realize the vision that became one of the largest and oldest breweries in the nation and you will witness first-hand the heritage and timeless tradition Anheuser-Busch employs to brew beer. This tour will focus on the brewery’s water treatment, reuse, and conservation efforts.
