This workshop is intended to offer a blend of industry experience and perspectives on digital twins with hands-on sessions to define digital twins and develop a needs assessment for your utility. Workshop presenters will primarily be utility representatives.

PCW03—STI/SPFA Field Erected Steel Water Storage Tank Seminar (Half Day)
The STI/SPFA Field Erected Steel Water Storage Tank seminar for engineers, municipality and utility administrators, and water storage tank owners and operators, covers topics related to steel water storage tanks including a review of tank styles, site selection, an overview of applicable AWWA Standards and Manuals of Practices, design and construction, inspection asset management, and more.

Facility Tour - Sunday, September 10

Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center | 2:00-4:00 pm

Discover how the supply of clean, fresh water contributed to the growth of our young city in the 1800's, how land use over the decades contributed to changes in water quality and how the Philadelphia Water Department manages stormwater runoff which is considered the biggest contributor to water pollution in Philadelphia today. Topics will include discussion of Philadelphia Water's Green City, Clean Water initiative, a 25-year plan using green infrastructure to reduce the volume of stormwater entering combined sewers and the Freshwater Mussel Hatchery, a research and demonstration lab created to raise awareness about mussels and discover best practices for propagating new mussels with the  ultimate goal of restoring populations to increase water quality in the Delaware River watershed.
