Your Membership Includes

As an AWWA member, you are also a member of your local AWWA Section. AWWA’s 43 Sections across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico are your local connection to the association. Sections host conferences and trainings in addition to AWWA’s main programming. Your Section will connect you to the local community, news, scholarships, and water professionals in your area.

Along with your Section, you can connect with other water professionals at AWWA’s conferences, seminars, and even online through our live webinars. Many members say AWWA’s community network is the most valuable part of their membership!

The AWWA Connections Newsletter is delivered to your inbox bi-weekly. The newsletter covers AWWA-related news, water industry updates, and features on utilities and members who are doing great work in the water sector. AWWA also offers opportunities for water community involvement through social media, campaigns, and community initiatives, such as Drinking Water Week, to engage our members and their communities.

As a member, you may apply to volunteer on a variety of committees, allowing you access into developing programming, policy, conferences, and more.

AWWA members receive discounts on eLearning, as well as access to webinars. AWWA’s robust eLearning catalogue contains clear, accurate content created by water experts, presented in easy to follow modules with clear learning objectives. Many courses build on AWWA Standards and manuals and point the learner to the best additional resources.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality educational resources that cater to water sector professionals. Our webinars are designed to offer the same high standards of learning and engagement that you expect from all our educational programs. Every AWWA webinar includes access to the recording, so you can watch whenever it works best for you.

Attendees can receive Certificates of Completion and CEUs, depending on your state.

AWWA offers mentorship programs, poster competitions, access to our Career Center, and events through your local Section. AWWA’s Career Center offers resume insights, integrated job searching, and connections to the water industry. AWWA also hosts the Transformative Water Leadership Academy (TWLA) for water community members who are more advanced in their path.
