What is envoi?

Envoi is an online library that provides AWWA members access to 200+ current ANSI-accredited AWWA Standards, as well as the opportunity to add AWWA’s 60+ manuals of practice. To view AWWA Standards and manuals on the platform, you must be an employee of an active AWWA Utility or Service Provider member. Individual AWWA members do not get access to envoi through their membership.

As well as being a library for technical information, envoi also has many features to help your team collaborate. The envoi platform allows for sharing notes and annotations with coworkers, bookmarking frequently visited documents, comparing versions to see updates, tracking changes in active and historical documents, and linking related topics together across files.

If you have questions about your membership status or about becoming an organizational member, please reach out to service@awwa.org

AWWA Standards

200+ ANSI-Accredited Standards

AWWA Standards are consensus- documents created by volunteer committees and accredited by ANSI. These documents reflect the state of the industry. As new technologies emerge, new standards are developed. These AWWA Standards address all facets of water treatment and delivery.

AWWA Standards are available on envoi for individual AWWA members who are employed at an active AWWA Utility or Service Provider member.

Manuals of Practice

60+ Manuals of Practice

AWWA Manuals of Practice are written, reviewed, and approved by members of AWWA volunteer committees. These publications are the water industry’s trusted resources our members need on topics ranging from utility management to water quality and water distribution systems.

The complete set of manuals is available for AWWA member organizations and their employees as an add on purchase to your membership. This set can be added to envoi through a subscription. Contact us at service@awwa.org for pricing and purchasing options.

FAQ

Your Membership & Subscriptions

What level of AWWA membership allows access to envoi?

Only employees of utilities and service provider members have full access to AWWA Standards and manuals through envoi. Individual AWWA members and other tiers do not get AWWA Standards and manuals included in their membership UNLESS they are also employees of a utility or service provider member.

My employer is a utility member, but I am not an AWWA member. How do I access envoi?

You can access envoi by creating or logging into your personal AWWA account (located at the top right of this screen), and finding envoi on your membership dashboard. Contact our team if you need help creating an account, logging into your existing account, or connecting it to your employer’s membership.

Can I purchase a subscription to envoi as an individual?

envoi subscriptions are currently only available to organizational members. If you are an employee of a utility or service provider, we encourage you to ask your employer about AWWA membership.

However, if you are not eligible to access online standards through envoi, you may inquire with our member service team at service@awwa.org about a subscription to print standards. With a print standards subscription, you will receive the full print standards set, plus updated print standards each time a standard is updated. This enables you to always operate on the most current and up-to-date standards.
