Work to Begin on New Standard: AWWA C5ZZ, Triple Offset Butterfly Valves

The AWWA Standards Council is happy to announce that work on a new standard has been authorized and is now beginning on the development of the following:
AWWA C5ZZ, Triple Offset Butterfly Valves

This standard describes minimum requirements for triple offset butterfly valves, with various body and end types, for raw water, potable water, and reclaimed water, and wastewater having a pH range from 6 to 12 and a temperature range from 33 to 125 degrees F (0.6 to 51.6 degrees C).

New standard C5ZZ has been assigned to the existing Standards Committee on Butterfly Valves. Please contact Paul Olson (polson@awwa.org) if you would like to participate or if you have any questions about the work on the new standard.
