ACE23: Your opportunity to help guide the future of water
Thousands of water professionals will attend the water community’s premier event and help solve global water challenges at the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) 2023 Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE23) June 11-14 in Toronto.
Early registration for in-person and virtual attendance ends today, with about 10,000 attendees expected.
This is the 142nd year of the event, which will highlight the latest water sector challenges, insights and best practices through workshops, tours, professional sessions, and experts showcasing the latest in products and services.
ACE23 highlights include:
- A professional program with 20 tracks and 127 sessions
- An Exhibit Hall featuring about 400 exhibitors and nearly 950 booths
- An Innovation Hub with insightful presentations from forward-looking companies and technologies that advance water sustainability
- Exciting competitions, including Pipe Tapping, Meter Challenge, Hydrant Hysteria, Top Ops and “Best of the Best” and “People’s Choice” Water Taste Tests
- Opportunities for young professionals and students, including a career fair, professional sessions and networking opportunities
- Specific events and resources for international guests
- Eight pre-conference workshops and tours
The June 12 Opening General Session will feature author and innovation strategist Shawn Kanungo, a self-described disruptor and author of the best-selling book The Bold Ones. He will present on “Creating the Future, Together,” incorporating concepts from AWWA’s Water 2050 initiative to discuss how organizations can become more adaptable, experimental and collaborative while creating a sustainable and resilient future.
Other insights and findings from Water 2050 will be presented during ACE23, including a panel discussion about “Creating our Water 2050 Future” during the Last Drop closing keynote session on June 14.
The keynote speaker at the June 13 Water Industry Luncheon is Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser, considered one of the best female hockey players in the world with seven world championships, six Olympic appearances and five Olympic medals. She is assistant general manager of player development for the Toronto Maple Leafs and a physician, community leader and businessperson.
AWWA will stream 29 sessions totaling more than 55 hours of content. All ACE Virtual programming and resources, including Q&A discussions for recorded sessions, will be available on-demand for 30 days to all virtual and full-conference participants. For those attending in person, a mobile App is available for quick and easy access to agenda items, networking opportunities and Continuing Education Credit check-in.
