Work to Begin on New Standard: AWWA DANT, Installation of Antennas for Water Towers

The AWWA Standards Council is happy to announce that work on a new standard has been authorized and is now beginning on the development of the following: 
AWWA DANT, Installation of Antennas for Water Towers

The purpose of this standard is to provide the minimum requirements for the structural design of antenna installations on water towers, as well as requirements and recommendations for tank operation, access, safety, risk level, structural integrity, detailing, maintenance, and asset preservation.

New standard DANT has been assigned to the existing Standards Committee on Steel and Composite Water Storage Tanks. Please contact Frank Kurtz (fkurtz@awwa.org) if you would like to participate or if you have any questions about the work on the new standard.
