Capacity, Management, Operation, and Maintenance (CMOM)

The capacity, management, operation and maintenance (CMOM) language under the Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) rule was developed to provide guidance for utilities on how to manage and operate their systems to reduce overflows.  Though SSO rules haven't been officially adopted nationally, many states and regions are being proactive in requiring CMOM compliance, realizing such guidance will result in improved operation and productivity and protection of public health.
