The Manufacturers/Associates Council is the voice and leadership within AWWA for companies who hold manufacturer/associate memberships. The MAC handles member company issues and priorities at the Committee, Council and Board level.

The MAC is currently organized to focus on three areas of priority for manufacturer/associate members. Those areas are conference management, section MAC development, and technical program opportunities. The development of section level MAC’s offers companies additional involvement in the governance and activities of AWWA sections. This in turn reinforces growth of the sections and assures stronger involvement by manufacturer/associate members. The opportunity to participate with technical presentations at all conference levels is important to enhance the quality of technical information. Manufacturers will on many occasions possess cutting edge technology, valuable to changing industry demands. The MAC is also working to meet AWWA’s goal to be an international leader. Many member companies already work on a broad international basis and their priorities are consistent with those of the organization.

The MAC meets officially three times per year including a meeting at the AWWA annual conference. Another very visible activity of the MAC at the annual conference is the popular Water Industry Luncheon. There are many opportunities for member companies and individuals at all levels within AWWA and the MAC is an excellent resource for manufacturer/associate interests.
