AWWA urges Trump administration to fund drinking water programs
February 28, 2017

AWWA has urged the Trump Administration to support federal investment in 2018 in US drinking water infrastructure.

In a letter to OMB Director Mick Mulvaney and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, AWWA recommended funding the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act at $45 million and the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund at $1.8 billion. AWWA also wants the administration to maintain funding for research that assists the EPA in preparing sound drinking water regulations and for EPA's Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water to support development of sound regulations.
