AWWA is excited to plan for the upcoming ACE22, Sunday, June 12 – Wednesday, June 15, 2021 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. AWWA continues to be committed to protecting public health and will follow all safety measures based on CDC, state and building requirements.  Please check back at this page often for updates related to the possible impact of COVID-19.

Health & Safety of Attendees:

During the COVID-19 pandemic, AWWA has been making the necessary adjustments to plan ACE21 to ensure participant safety is our top priority. Together, with the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, hotels, and AWWA guidelines, and in consideration of current guidance and information shared by the CDC and Bexax County and the City of San Antonio, we are planning for the following:

  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • All participants at ACE22 are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination
  • Physical distancing will be encouraged throughout event space (use of floor decals) and room sets will include additional spacing for physical distancing regardless of the local capacity limits
  • Because AWWA is committed to protecting public health and the size of AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition, every individual who participates at ACE22, in San Antonio will be required to:
    a) Provide proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
    OR
    b) Provide proof they obtained a negative COVID-19 test result
We will update the website January 2022 for information on how the process will work.  Stay tuned!
  • Waiver review and release required to obtain attendance

The San Antonio hotels have been vigilantly following procedures and protocols developed in consideration of guidance and information shared by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other leading organizations and experts and local government requirements and guidance.

Please note: the below requirements and release will be included as part of your ACE registration.
