2nd Annual Golf Tournament - Benefit for Water Equation

Kick off ACE by golfing a Palmer-inspired golf course and supporting Water Equation’s programs. The Shingle Creek Golf Club is golf reinvented, with the classic Arnold Palmer touch. International Reception

Each year, AWWA takes great pleasure in hosting a reception specifically for our international visitors. This is an excellent opportunity to socialize with colleagues from around the world, renew old acquaintances, make new friends, and simply network. AWWA's leadership and International Council members will be available to meet and discuss international issues in a relaxed social atmosphere. AWWA's CEO and President will both be available for photo opportunities with international attendees.

Public Officials Breakfast & Caucus

Tuesday, June 16 | 8:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Public officials will hear from local and national speakers, enjoy a full breakfast, and discuss common issues during this popular annual event. This breakfast is open ONLY to elected public officials and is complimentary and. Pre-registration is required by selecting them during the registration process (either online or via registration form).

Standards Council 100th Anniversary Celebration

Tuesday, June 16

2020 marks the 100th Anniversary of AWWA establishing a formal Standards Council. Join us to celebrate this notable event! Publication of formal standards began in 1908 with C100 on cast iron pipe, followed soon after by standards on hydrants and valves. At ACE 1920, AWWA formed the Council to provide oversight and direction to Standards work. Standardization has been a foundational activity of AWWA since 1881 and one of the many things that sets AWWA apart.

Vernice "FlyGirl" Armour
America's First African American Female Combat Pilot

Vernice "FlyGirl" Armour propelled herself from beat cop to combat pilot in a record-breaking three years and became America’s First African American Female Combat Pilot. FlyGirl's fresh, edgy style, highly contagious energy and unique, gutsy essence moves people to action. She has inspired countless organizations and individuals to make gutsy moves and create breakthrough results. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, FlyGirl holds two honorary doctorates, was a Diversity Liaison Officer to the Pentagon for Headquarters Marine Corps and is a member of the COMCAST/NBCUniversal Joint Diversity Council. She has received numerous awards as a pioneering pilot, for her commanding role in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. She was the first Marine Corp African American female pilot, the first African American woman on the Nashville Police Department’s motorcycle squad, a Camp Pendleton Female Athlete of the Year and two-time titleholder in their Strongest Warrior Competition, and a running back for the women’s pro football team, the San Diego 'Sunfire.'
