Course description: Water service lines are how we get water from the distribution system to the customer's meters. During this course you will gain a basic understanding on how to provide long lasting water service lines, how they can be maintained or replaced easily, how to address leaks and the role of customer vs. utility in responsibility of the lines.
- Understand the industry and basic functions and responsibilities of staff.
- Provide students with exposure to all types of meters they may encounter.
- Realize that meters are the cash register for the utility and the safety of the citizens comes first.
