Course Description: This course will give you a working knowledge of proper maintenance of pumps, motors, electrical equipment, and instrumentation, which represent a water utility’s major investment in mechanical equipment. Gain the tools needed to maintain the life of these mechanical elements at your utility and the knowledge to properly maintain a functioning distribution system.

- Explain the proper methods for operation and maintenance of electric motors and internal combustion engines.
- Identify the types of instrumentation and control equipment used in water systems.
