Course Description: This course provides a foundation in applied mathematics as used in the water supply profession. It is suitable for entry-level operators or operators who have not had recent exposure to mathematics in their jobs.
Learning Objectives:
- Perform calculations using domestic and industrial water use data.
- Calculate average daily flow for a water system and surface and weir overflow rates.
- Perform filter and well operation calculations.
- Determine detention time in a basin.
