Course Description: Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) has forever altered the way utilities conduct business. A single operator can control treatment, storage, system pressure, and other vital functions through a single-linked computer network. The course begins with an overview of device symbols, including how they are used to represent systems and how those symbols relate to real-world devices. Discover how a SCADA system connects to sensors, analyzers, and control devices. Learn the features and components of a SCADA system, the facilities/environment the system requires, and the benefits the system provides.
This course takes into consideration the Association Board of Certification Need-to-Know Criteria for water treatment operators.
