American Membrane Technology Association and American Water Works Association are excited to plan for the upcoming Membrane Technology Conference & Exposition (MTC), Monday, July 19 – Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.

AMTA and AWWA are committed to protecting public health. We are following recommend COVID safety measures and protocols based on CDC and Convention Center requirements for our employees and attendees during the event. Please check back at this page often for updates related to the possible impact of COVID-19 on MTC21.

 

Health & Safety of Attendees

During the COVID-19 pandemic, AMTA and AWWA have been making the necessary adjustments to plan MTC21 to ensure participant safety is our top priority. Together, with the Palm Beach County Convention Center, Hotels and based on current mandates from Palm Beach County, we are planning for the following:

  • Required physical distancing
  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • Mask wearing
  • Waiver review and release required to obtain attendance

Local Resources

The West Palm Beach Hilton, West Palm Beach Marriott and Palm Beach County Convention Center have been vigilantly following procedures and protocols developed in consideration of guidance and information shared by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other leading organizations and experts and local government requirements and guidance.

Please note: the below requirements and release will be included as part of your Membrane Technology Conference registration.

AMTA/AWWA COVID-19 Requirements and Release

Enhanced Safety and Health Measures:
Attendance at or participation in AMTA/AWWA’s MTC21 is subject to the release below, and compliance with AMTA/AWWA’s and the conference and event facilities’ policies and procedures to implement  current CDC and applicable state’s recommendations, which  includes, but are not limited to, wearing a mask, physical distancing, retreating immediately if feeling unwell or showing certain symptoms. 

Release:
I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless AMTA/AWWA and its affiliates, including their respective employees, officers, directors, agents, and/or representatives, from any claim or cause of action, including all liabilities, penalties, losses, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind, arising out of or relating to exposure to COVID-19. I agree that the foregoing release, discharge, and covenants apply even when AMTA/AWWA or its affiliate directly or indirectly caused injury, losses, or other harm related to COVID-19, whether by negligent acts or omissions, and whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any AMTA/AWWA (or affiliate) program. This release is binding on my heirs, administrators, executors, successors and assigns.

 

AMTA/AWWA Current Transfer & Refund Policies

ATTENDEES

AMTA and AWWA’s first core principle is the protection of public health. This principle informs our actions during normal times and especially during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. For attendees canceling due to COVID-19, AMTA and AWWA will apply MTC21 paid registration fees to MTC22 registration fees. A refund of dollars paid will be processed upon request. AMTA and AWWA shall not be liable for any expenses incurred. To apply for the transfer or refund of fees submit your cancelation request in writing to service@awwa.org. For refunds or questions regarding a 2020 registration credit, please reach out to custsrv@amtaorg.com

EXHIBITORS

AMTA and AWWA’s first core principle is the protection of public health. This principle informs our actions during normal times and especially during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Companies canceling due to COVID-19, AMTA and AWWA will apply MTC21 paid booth fees to MTC22 booth fees. A refund of dollars paid will be processed upon request. AMTA and AWWA shall not be liable for any expenses incurred. To apply for the transfer of fees submit your cancelation request in writing to exhibitormail@awwa.org.

SPONSORS

AMTA and AWWA’s first core principle is the protection of public health. This principle informs our actions during normal times and especially during the COVID-19 crisis. Companies canceling due to COVID-19, AMTA and AWWA will apply MTC21 paid sponsor fees to MTC22 sponsor fees. A refund of dollars paid, minus a 25% administrative fee to cover expenses related to the sponsorship will be processed upon request. AMTA and AWWA shall not be liable for any expenses incurred.
