The Transformative Issues Symposium brings together water sector professionals from across North America to discuss the most important and challenging issues of our times. 

Join us in 2022!

A robust and diverse workforce is essential to water sector resilience. The 2022 Transformative Issues Symposium (TIS22) will feature honest and practical conversations about the water sector workforce.  TIS22 will cover a range of topics including: diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), data and benchmarking, best practices in recruitment and retention, the role innovation and technology play in the water workforce, and the expected (and unexpected) benefits that a diverse and engaged workforce can bring to utilities, communities, and the water sector ecosystem as a whole.

The Call for Abstracts for 2022 is open. Call for Abstracts will close at 4:00 p.m. (MDT) on Wednesday, January 27, 2022. Any submissions provided after the call closes will not be accepted.

AWWA is soliciting abstracts covering the following topics:
