Covid-19 Guidance

American Water Works Association is excited to plan for upcoming 2022 specialty conferences.

AWWA continues to be committed to protecting public health and will follow all safety measures based on CDC, state and building requirements. Please check back at this page often for updates related to the possible impact of COVID-19 on AWWA specialty conferences.

AWWA’s first core principle is the protection of public health. This principle informs our actions during normal times and especially during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Health & Safety of Attendees

As of: January 12, 2022

During the COVID-19 pandemic, AWWA has been making the necessary adjustments to plan our events to ensure participant safety is our top priority. Together with our partner convention centers and hotels and in consideration of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and local government requirements we are currently planning for the following health and safety measures for all AWWA 2022 Conferences.
  • All participants at ANY AWWA CONFERENCE OR EVENT must wear masks, regardless of vaccination.
  • Physical distancing encouraged
  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • Waiver review and release required to obtain attendance

The safety measures may be updated if conditions change.
