COVID-19 Guidance

The American Water Works Association is excited to welcome the water community in-person to our conferences. AWWA is committed to protecting public health and will observe safety measures based on information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local facilities. Please check back at this page often for updates on COVID-19 protocols at AWWA Conferences.

AWWA’s first core principle is the protection of public health. This principle will continue to guide our conference environments now and in the future.

Health & Safety of Attendees

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, AWWA has evaluated and modified its events to keep participant safety as our top priority. Together with our partner convention centers and hotels and in consideration of CDC guidance and local government requirements, we are currently planning for the following health and safety measures for all AWWA 2023 conferences.

  • Masks are optional for all attendees. AWWA will have masks available.
  • Physical distancing is encouraged. Show management will strive to provide spacing within meeting space.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available.
  • Waiver review and release is required to attend.

The above safety measures may be updated to reflect new public health guidance. Please check this website regularly.
