Water sector leaders to kick off each day of ACE21 All Virtual with Good Day, AWWA! May 26, 2021Press Releases The American Water Works Association (AWWA) today announced CEO David LaFrance and special guests will kick off each day of ACE21 All Virtual with Good Day, AWWA! ACE21 All Virtual will be held June 14-17. Good Day, AWWA!, one of several special events scheduled as part of ACE21 All Virtual, will feature LaFrance and leaders in the water sector engaging in casual conversation while dining on food relevant to the guest’s background. The list of scheduled interviews is below: Colby Manwaring, CEO of Innovyze, June 8 at 9 a.m. MT: A discussion about innovation impacting the sector over Spanish hot chocolate and churros. John Young, water and wastewater utility management consultant supporting Flint, Mich.’s recovery effort, June 14 at 8 a.m. MT: A thoughtful talk about Flint, Mich. over pancakes. Marisa Tricas, utility government relations administrator with the City of Roseville, Calif., June 15 at 9 a.m. MT: A discussion on why today’s young professionals will continue to change the future over Haupia pie, a traditional coconut milk-based Hawaiian dessert. Seth Siegel, author of Troubled Water: What’s Wrong with What We Drink, June 16 at 9 a.m. MT: An opportunity to hear about books impacting the sector over bagels and lox. Cathy Bernardino Bailey, executive director of the Greater Cincinnati Water Works, June 17 at 9 a.m. MT: Hear her story of why water is so meaningful over Graeter’s ice cream, a Cincinnati-based company. Manny Teodoro, associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, before AWWA/WEF’s Utility Management Conference in August. “I’m looking forward to sharing Good Day, AWWA! with everyone at ACE21 All Virtual,” LaFrance said. “These casual conversations provide my friends and colleagues around the water sector an opportunity to talk about what they see as opportunities and challenges in their respective areas of the community.
