AWWA has added several new resources to its Source Water Protection Week materials page, including an updated whiteboard animation explaining nutrient runoff issues and a brochure about utility source water protection programs. The animation and brochure are part of a broad suite of materials to help utilities and consumers recognize Source Water Protection Week, Sept. 26-Oct. 2. Throughout Source Water Protection Week , AWWA and many other organizations will raise awareness about the importance of protecting precious drinking water sources. As part of Source Water Protection Week, AWWA is hosting a #ShowYourSource social media contest. Beginning Sept. 26, utilities and partner organizations are encouraged to post photos or short videos showcasing their precious water sources using the #ShowYourSource hashtag.
