Materials for this year’s Drinking Water Week celebration are available to download through AWWA’s website. This year’s Drinking Water Week is May 3-9, and the theme is “There when you need it”. Drinking Water Week materials can be used by members to engage with consumers, public officials and media about the reliability of drinking water and the professionals associated with delivering water from collection to consumption. This year’s campaign materials include: Logos (in English and Spanish) Web banners (in English and Spanish) Social media graphics (in English and Spanish) Suggested social media posts Proclamations (in English and Spanish) Radio public service announcements (in English and Spanish) Press releases that will cover topics such as: How water utilities capture, treat and deliver water to consumers The reliability of high-quality drinking water Children’s activity sheets (in English and Spanish) Children’s artwork contest details The Drinking Water Week webpage also includes a form for participants to register. While not mandatory, we encourage participants to sign up so we can let others know what organizations are participating in this annual celebration. AWWA has additional children’s materials that also may be useful during Drinking Water Week. Classroom lessons are available for elementary and high school children, and resources are available for younger children on DrinkTap’s Kid's Place .
