The American Water Works Association (AWWA) announced today that it received two APEX Awards for Publication Excellence. This is the 32nd year for the annual APEX Awards, which recognize excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. Opflow won an Award of Excellence in Magazine Series for its articles on Legionella , which ran in February, March and April 2019. Journal AWWA received an Award of Excellence in “Best Redesign” for the 2019 revamp of the magazine. “This is the second year in a row that Opflow has been honored with an APEX Award, so we’re thrilled to be recognized again,” said Opflow Editor John Hughes. “We’re pleased we were able to give Legionella the attention it needs, as it’s the leading cause of waterborne disease outbreaks in the United States.
