AWWA releases new manual on elastomers for waterworks

The first edition of the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) M75 Elastomers for Waterworks: Pipes, Valves, and Fittings, First Edition manual is now available.

The manual helps operators, technicians and engineers gain a comprehensive overview of the use and selection of elastomers and to understand their mechanical properties and chemical resistance. It also provides critical information on their storage, handling, maintenance and inspection.

M75 presents the history and general application of elastomers in waterworks pipes, valves and fittings, as well as the principles used for evaluating, selecting, testing and maintaining various seals. It provides guidance on generally available elastomers and their application.

M75 Elastomers for Waterworks: Pipes, Valves, and Fittings can be purchased in the AWWA Store. The full manual is also available as a PDF download and as a PDF download and print set.

Media note: Review copies are available for media. Please contact Dave Gaylinn to request a copy.
