SCOPE This standard describes underground installation and pressure testing requirements for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and molecularly oriented polyvinyl chloride (PVCO) pressure pipe and fittings used to transport potable water, reclaimed water, irrigation water, wastewater, or for the conveyance of any fluid compatible with PVC or PVCO. MAJOR REVISIONS Major revisions made to the standard in this edition include the following: 1. Installation embedment requirements and terminology are updated throughout the standard to align with recommendations published in the Third Edition of AWWA M23. 2. Expanded information on field cutting. 3. The larger pipe diameters in the latest edition of AWWA C900 have been added.
