QualServe Benchmarking

ATTENTION WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITIES!

Participation in the Benchmarking surveys was very successful in 2007. We received and processed 180 surveys from all over the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.  The reports were sent to participating utilities in January 2008, and the 2007 Annual Survey Data and Analysis Report is now available in the AWWA Bookstore.

Based on feedback we have received during both the survey and associated workshops, we have elected to use 2008 to improve the survey and the report.  Therefore, we will NOT be conducting a Benchmarking survey during 2008, but we will conduct the Benchmarking Data Sharing Workshops during the year.

Benchmarking allows you to compare your performance with other utilities to effect change in your organization. You will be able to identify your strengths and areas for improvement and access resources to implement changes best suited to your needs.

Benchmarking can help you

• Identify, track, and measure already established and tested performance indicators
• Compare your performance against your peers
• Identify specific processes needing improvement
• Implement outstanding processes at your utility to improve performance
