Social Media

Social media is still a fairly new tool in the marketing and communications toolbox, but it's becoming increasingly critical that companies have a presence on at least one platform. In addition to AWWA's social media guidelines and sweepstakes rules, below is a bit of information about various platforms your company may consider along with links to AWWA's own social media pages.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is an interconnected network of experienced professionals from around the world, representing 170 industries and 200 countries. You can find, be introduced to, and collaborate with qualified professionals that you need to work with to accomplish your goals. LinkedIn has over 43 million members in over 200 countries and territories around the world.  A new member joins LinkedIn approximately every second, and about half the members are outside the U.S. Executives from all Fortune 500 companies are LinkedIn members.

Facebook

AWWA hosts a fanpage within the Facebook web site. Our pages allow our fans to keep up-to-date on what AWWA is doing, our office culture and events AWWA and our sponsors are hosting.

YouTube

YouTube is the leader in online video, and the premier destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience. YouTube allows people to easily upload and share video clips via YouTube and across the Internet through websites, mobile devices, blogs, and email. AWWA provides educational and promotional videos on our YouTube channel.

Twitter

Twitter is a real-time information network that connects you to the latest stories, ideas, opinions and news about what you find interesting. Simply find the accounts you find most compelling and follow the conversations. Get real time updates by following AWWA.

Pinterest

Pinterest defines itself as a content sharing service that allows members to "pin" images, videos and other objects to their pinboard. Members can also share, re-pin, like and comment on their own and others’ pins.

Instagram

Instagram is an online photo and video-sharing social network. Users can take pictures and videos, digitally edit them, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
