The Senior Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for recruiting new subscribers and retaining existing subscribers in a designated geographic area. The Senior Account Manager is the primary liaison between WRF and its subscribers.
Network with senior leaders and technical professionals at large water utilities to promote WRF’s research and increase subscriber involvement
Present value propositions to both current and prospective subscribers to maintain the utility’s annual financial commitment of subscription dollars
Plan, organize, and moderate WRF-sponsored workshops in the field
Serve as an internal resource to WRF staff by relaying relevant subscriber information to the Research Managers
Identify and recruit key utility technical staff members to serve as WRF volunteers
Promote research partnerships with other organizations and industries having common research interests
Actively recruit new utility, consulting and manufacturing subscribers and broaden support for WRF within the water research community.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological science, environmental science, or chemistry or related field
- 10 years of water experience.
Extensive knowledge of the water industry and utilities
Will consider other relevant combinations of education and experience
Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years of utility experience.
Polished sales and customer service skills as well as competencies in technical writing and technical presentations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint
Strong organizational skills to meet the demands of managing multiple projects and activities
The ideal candidate possesses a Master’s degree in a technical field and established relationships in the water community.
