Spiders: high tech water catchers02/04/2010: There's an interesting story on the BBC website today about how spider silk alters itself to catch water droplets, and how that technology might be used in future to develop man-made fibers that will help water collection in dry areas by stretching out nets, or canvas, on poles and using the mesh to catch moisture from mists or breezes.
