Peru Trade Mission

Peru Trade Mission
May 21-23, 2017

Water becomes the focus of the new Peru president, with $1.7 billion dedicated to the water and wastewater sector.

AWWA will be leading a trade mission to Peru, with 10+ companies that includes one-on-one appointments for each company with potential business partners, and will provide briefings on the country’s economic and political climate.

Matchmaking appointments are tailored to the company’s interests, objectives and market priorities. Also a tour of a water treatment facility will be included.

Cuba Water and Wastewater Educational Mission: Havana and Varadero

David LaFrance and Chief of Missions Jeffrey DeLaurentis, U.S. Embassy reception at the Chief of Missions residence.

This fall, a contingent of AWWA members and staff traveled to Cuba for an historic educational mission - more than 50 years after the U.S. imposed a trade embargo. They visited with government officials involved in the water environment in Cuba. They also visited water and wastewater facilities in Havana and Varadero. The five-day trip gave them insight into selling services and products in a country in sore need of water and wastewater infrastructure.
