PublicationsBook PublishingAWWA provides a full-service publishing program, professionally editing, producing, marketing, and selling handbooks, standards, manuals, youth and consumer education products, and bill stuffers. Drawing from the intellectual reservoir of AWWA members, the books program annually publishes about 20 new or revised titles of interest to water and wastewater professionals. The books are available for sale in the AWWA Bookstore, which lists more than 400 titles and also includes videos, acquired titles from outside publishers, and specialty items.

Magazines and Other PeriodicalsAWWA periodicals are a core benefit for association members. A professional and scholarly publication in print for more than 90 years, Journal AWWA publishes timely, technically accurate, peer-reviewed information about water quality, resources, and supply and about the management and operation of water utilities. Opflow is the hands-on, practical publication for water supply operators with a straightforward, informative style that is popular among all AWWA members. Journal AWWA and Opflow are published and mailed monthly, complemented online with e-Journal AWWA and Opflow Online. AWWA also publishes an online newsletter. AWWA Streamlines, launched in January 2009, is a biweekly electronic newsletter that merges two earlier electronic AWWA publications, E-MainStream and WaterWeek. All AWWA members are eligible to receive the Streamlines e-mail with links to the online publication. Streamlines brings readers timely and targeted stories about regulatory and legislative developments, industry issues and trends, utility practices, research and new technologies, along with information about the AWWA community and resources.
