Permissions and Reprints

Unless otherwise noted, all material on this site is copyrighted by AWWA with all rights reserved and is protected by the copyright laws of the United States. No material appearing on this website may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any media (electronic, photocopying, recording, or otherwise) without prior written permission of AWWA. In the case of content that appears in Journal AWWA or Opflow, permission must be obtained by AWWA’s publishing partner, John Wiley & Sons Inc. (Wiley).

Please note the following in your request:

  • the specific article or item by title and source (the publication title, date, and page or URL)
  • your publication’s title
  • your publication date
  • the context of use (describe the nature of the content in your publication)
  • the circulation of your publication (frequency and number of copies distributed)
  • Will there be a fee for your publication?
  • Will your publication be posted online? If yes, who will have access to it?

In most cases, we charge a fee for usage.

If permission is granted, the material must be attributed to the direct source from which the information is taken; for example:
