What is Only Tap Water Delivers?

Only Tap Water Delivers is a grassroots and media campaign to help utilities and public officials communicate the value of tap water service and the need to reinvest in water infrastructure to consumers, media and other stakeholders.

Why Use This Campaign?

This campaign is designed to:

• Encourage community investment in water service and resources.
• Provide utilities with tools that help them communicate with consumers and decision-makers about the value of water service.
• Encourage and equip public officials to speak about the importance of investing in water service and resources.
• Elevate the value of water service in the minds of consumers.

• Public health protection
• Fire protection
• Support for the economy
• Quality of life

• Six consumer handouts
• Three print ads for placement in local publications (in English and Spanish)
• Three radio public service announcements (in English and Spanish)

• Two PowerPoint presentations (one for consumer audiences and another to explain the campaign)
• A five-minute video
• Editorial board briefing guide
• Campaign talking points
• Campaign logos for Web or additional print items
• Executive summaries from AWWA and Water Research Foundation reports that formed the foundation for the campaign.
