AWWA Management Institute

AWWA recognizes the importance of managerial training to ensure excellence in the water supply industry. For over a decade, the AWWA Management Divison and its Management Development Committee have developed and sponsored the Water Utility Management Institutes.

The program focuses on the basics of management for new supervisors and managers while offering experienced managers an opportunity to refresh their management skills. Key topics include: Foundations of Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Time and Stress Management, Employee Selection or Personal Management, Performance Management and Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. Other pertinent topics are taught and interested individuals should contact the individual Institute for more information. Both basic and advanced Institutes are offered.
