eLearning Education Delivery MethodsSelf-Paced AWWA eLearning self-paced content provides students with a relaxed method for online training. Complete the course at your own pace, at any time of the day. These courses will include topics such as business, leadership, management, OSHA, and the High Tech Operator Program. Facilitated Facilitated eLearning courses will be primarily delivered online, with some pacing and interaction provided by an instructor (discussion board, file/homework sharing, live meetings). Topics will include Water 101 for Non-Technical Professionals, Water Demand and Conservation Management, Filtration Basics, Water Treatment Operations Course I, and High Tech Operator Program. Blended Learning Blended learning will be primarily classroom based with some online interaction. The online interaction will take place pre- and post- the classroom event. Topics will include Micro- and Ultra-Filtration Membrane Technologies, Reverse Osmosis, and Nanofiltration, Desalination, Membrane Softening & More, and Financial Management: Cost of Service Rate-Making. How can operators benefit?Operators can benefit when studying for certification exams, looking to expand their professional options by continued learning, and when new to the drinking water field seeking to expand their knowledge. Operators may also benefit when looking to fulfill CEU requirements to maintain current certification, seeking a refresher course, and when seeking to advance their careers or certification levels. eLearninig also provides operators with travel-free and self-paced education opportunities. How can employers benefit?Employers can benefit from eLearning through travel-free staff education and the diversity of educational offers. eLearning is designed to provide employers at utilities, facilities, education organizations, and state and local governments with the ability to train a wide range of staff on a wide range of subjects.
